Juliana Camargo and Tiffany Marques, PHD students in the Information and Communication in Digital Platforms (ICPD) program and members of the Social iVX group, presented their work at the IMX 2023 conference. The event took place from June 12th to 15th in Nantes, France. Both of them submitted papers for the Work in Progress (WIP) category and had their work accepted.

Juliana and Tiffany have conducted research in the field of interactive television and are scholarships holders with grants from the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT). Juliana’s study focuses on the use of a proactive assistant integrated into television to promote intergenerational interaction. Tiffany’s research investigates the impacts of promoting empathy through the introduction of proactive behaviors in intelligent assistants for iTV.

Professor Jorge Ferraz de Abreu, who is part of their mentoring team, was also present at the conference.
