SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Ultra TV project represents a cornerstone of the innovation and development roadmap of Altice Labs, SA. The project reinforces the importance of the advances and scientific contributions of the University of Aveiro and the Institute of Telecommunications of Aveiro in going beyond the state of the art in several technological areas of interest in IPTV, its user experience, and the Over-The-Top (OTT) content delivery component. The central goal of the project is to create an Interactive TV multi-device ecosystem focused on a profile-based UI for the unification of linear and non-linear content and sources. This system supports the market’s latest applications and functions and is able to provide the foundation for a new generation of MEO’s service, in Portugal and across all other geographies where the Altice group is present (France, Israel, the Dominican Republic and the United States).
